The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Goa has invited applications for a three-week online research from students pursuing masters in physics. Applications are being accepted for online research internships at the School of Physical Sciences, IIT Goa, under Accelerating Vigyaan Scheme, Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). Selected candidates will get to work on a project titled “Probing the QCD matter produced at RHIC and LHC”.
The objective of the internship is to groom students, primarily from universities, colleges, private academic institutions and newly established institutes, in their scientific career pursuits by developing dedicated research skills through research internships in the field of high energy nuclear physics.
Eligibility criteria for IIT Goa research internship
- Students who have secured 60 per cent in their BSc and are now pursuing MSc in physics may apply for the IIT Goa research internship.
- Selected candidates need to produce no objection certificate (NOC) from supervisor/head of the department/head of the institute, indicating their association with the institute.
Candidates will have to submit online applications through a dedicated Google form before September 29, 2021 by 6 pm.
Currently, the institute offers three courses, namely BTech, MTech and PhD in various core and one non-core specialisations. These courses are offered through the following six schools of IIT Goa: School of Chemical & Material Sciences; School of Electrical Sciences; School of Humanities & Social Sciences; School of Mathematics & Computer Science; School of Mechanical Sciences and School of Physical Sciences.
