PGIMER, Punjab Engineering College collaborate to promote research work

Punjab Engineering College (PEC) joined hands with the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh. According to the reports, PEC signed a memorandum of understanding with the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh to promote research work between both institutes. The MoU between the two institutions was signed by Professor Dheeraj Singh, PEC Director and Professor Divya Bansal, Dean Alumni Corporate and International Relations from PEC and Dr Jagatram, Director PGI.

Under this collaboration, the faculty members of both the esteemed institutes will be working on conducting research using each other’s laboratories and other facilities. PEC and PGIMER Chandigarh will also be collaborating for research work and writing a relevant thesis. Announcing its collaboration with JIPMER, PEC on its official Twitter handle said, “An MOU was signed on March 27th, 2021 by and between PGIMER,  Chandigarh & @_PECChandigarh.The MOU was signed by Professor. Dheeraj Sanghi, Director PEC, Professor Divya Bansal, Dean Alumni Corporate and International Relations from PEC and Dr. Jagatram, Director PGI.” Check the official tweet below:

Meanwhile, PEC, Chandigarh earlier signed a MoU with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Ropar to set up an incubator in the PEC campus. The Agriculture and Water Technology Development Hub or AWADH formed in IIT Ropar will be conducting the project. AWADH will also provide scholarships to the research students of PEC at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

PEC director Dheeraj Sanghi also posted a tweet about the institutions collaboration with IIT Ropar. He said, “MoU signed between @_PECChandigarh and @iitrpr (Agriculture and Water Technology Development Hub or AWADH for short). AWADH will setup an incubator on PEC campus and will provide fellowships and research support to both our UG and PG students and to our faculty.”
