CUET UG 2nd phase exam from August 4, 6,80,000 students likely to appear

As per reports, nearly 14,90,000 candidates, including students within the country and abroad, have already registered for CUET UG 2022. In the first phase, nearly 8,10,000 appeared for the CUET UG 2022 Exam. In the second phase, nearly 6,80,000 candidates are expected to write the exam.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has completed phase 1 of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Undergraduate exam and will hold the second phase from August 4. CUET UG 2022 admit card for phase 2 will be released on July 31, 2022. As per reports, nearly 14,90,000 candidates, including students within the country and abroad, have already registered for CUET UG 2022. In the first phase, nearly 8,10,000 appeared for the CUET UG 2022 Exam. In the second phase, nearly 6,80,000 candidates are expected to write the exam.

It must be noted that to ensure that the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2022 exams which are currently underway, do not collide, CUET second phase will be conducted later. Both the CUET and JEE Main exams are being conducted by the NTA.

The NTA said a gap of several days has been given to students due to the ongoing JEE Main exam. After this gap of several days, the second phase of CUET will be conducted from August 4 to 10. It must be noted that the CUET was not conducted on July 17 because NEET UG Examination was scheduled for that day. 

As per the higher education regulator, University Grants Commission (UGC), only those students who have successfully cracked the CUET will be considered eligible for admission to 90 different universities. Such students can seek admission to Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Banaras Hindu University, including 43 central universities across the country. According to the NTA, keeping in mind the diverse number of subjects, a specific datesheet for the CUET has been prepared for the candidates.
