Delhi University reopens for offline classes from today
In March 2020, the DU colleges were shut in wake of the outbreak of COVID-19. University now has reopened after DDMA gave a nod to resume offline classes amid the decline in the number of COVID and its variant omicron cases in the national capital.
Delhi University reopened today for offline classes for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Many of the students visited the campus for the very first time since they took admission, as the varsity has been kept closed for nearly two years owing to the pandemic.
Ishita Sanjwan, a 20-year-old student of Ramjas college said, "we have waited for this day for so long. The online mode of education was good but we were lagging behind in terms of extra-curricular activity, and many more opportunities to shape our future. The online classes were not sufficient enough to substitute the offline mode of education."
