NID Counselling 2024: M.Des SPOT Admission Process begins; Allotment List out on July 11

The NID SPOT Admission Round 2024 is being conducted to fill the vacant seats in the Master of Design (M.Des.). Candidates must note that NID M.Des Spot Admission Process 2024 will conclude on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

NID M.Des Counselling 2024: National Institute of Design (NID) has commenced the SPOT Admission Process for the Masters in Design Programme. The NID SPOT Admission Round 2024 is being conducted to fill the vacant seats in the Master of Design (M.Des.). Candidates must note that NID M.Des Spot Admission Process 2024 will conclude on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

NID M.Des SPOT Admission 2024: Who can participate?

1. Eligible candidates who had been allotted a seat in a discipline in the Rounds 01, 02 and 03 of seat allocation, but did not pay the fees;
2. Eligible candidates who had been allotted a seat in a discipline in the Rounds 01, 02 and 03 of seat allocation, but did not upload the required documents; and
3. Eligible candidates who have not been allotted a seat in any discipline in any of the previous Rounds of seat allocation.

NID M.Des SPOT Admission 2024: Who cannot participate?

1. Candidates who have been provisionally admitted to the M.Des. programme at the three NID campuses;
2. Candidates whose candidatures were cancelled due to non-conformance of the eligibility criteria viz. submissions of false information, non-affiliated programs, 3-year Bachelor degree.

Instructions for NID M.Des SPOT Admissions 2024

1. Allotment of seats will be based on the availability of seats in the order of merit in the respective discipline in the respective category.
2. The number of eligible candidates invited for a vacant seat in a particular category will be no less than three times in each category applied for by the candidate in the respective category (GENERAL, GENERAL-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD & OVERSEAS) as per merit.
3. The allotment of the seat will commence from the highest rank onwards in the descending order, in each category of vacant seat(s). Allotment of seats in a particular category will close as soon as the required number of seats are filled up.
4. The invited candidates need to submit the following required documents in one single PDF file via email to admissionsPnid.edu between July 9 to July 10, 2024, for online document verification. If they fail to do so, it will be considered that they are not interested in obtaining admission to the M.Des. programme, and the seat will be allotted to the next eligible candidate in the order of merit, in the respective discipline and category. Incomplete submission of documents will not be accepted and will lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
