NIFT Entrance Exam Dates for Admissions 2017
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has declared the counselling schedule for NIFT admissions 2017.
Candidates who have been shortlisted for admission basis their performance in NIFT Entrance Exam for BDes, BFTech, MDes, MFM and MFTech courses need to take part in NIFT counselling process. Only candidates who take part in NIFT counselling can secure admission in colleges accepting NIFT scores for admission.

| It is advised that all PWD candidates may participate in this round of counselling with the requisite documents. After this round of Counselling the vacant PWD seats will be merged with their respective categories. As the vacant PWD seats will be merged there will be no seats / registration for PWD candidates in the subsequent rounds of counselling. |

NIFT had invited applications from interested candidates who want to apply for admission under NIFT Lateral Entry (NLEA) for the academic session set to commence in 2017. Through NLEA, candidates can secure admission directly in second year of the course for which they are applying for admission.
Candidates can apply for admission under NLEA 2017 in both Bachelor of Design (BDes) as well as Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech) programmes offered at the 16 NIFT campuses.
In order to secure admission under lateral entry at NIFT, aspirants need to appear for NIFT written entrance exam. The schedule for NLEA 2017 is as mentioned below:

Earlier, candidates could select their NIFT Situation Test dates and test centre on NIFT admissions 2017 official website.
Candidates who had been shortlisted for Bachelor of Design (BDes) course were to appear for NIFT Situation Test to secure admission at the design college. In order to select the NIFT Situation Test date and exam centre, candidates had to fill their login details such as Email Address, Date of Birth and Roll Number.
NIFT Situation Test was conducted on May 4, May 5 and May 6, 2017.
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) had issued a formal notification informing candidates that they can now download their Group Discussion/Personal Interview Call Letters for admission in Master's level programmes. Aspirants could download their GD/PI call letter from the official website of NIFT by filling any two details from - Roll Number, Date of Birth and Application Number.
NIFT had announced the result for written entrance examination conducted by it on March 29, 2017. In order to secure admission in Master's programmes at NIFT, candidates need to clear the GD/PI admission round.
NIFT has invited applications for PhD course admissions in design, management and technology for the academic session set to commence in 2017. To secure admission in PhD course at NIFT, aspirants need to submit their Research Proposal along with their duly filled application form.
Candidates will be shortlisted for admission basis their application form and research proposal. Final selection will be done on the basis of presentation and personal interview round.
Aspirants can get the application form for NIFT PhD admissions on the official website of the design school. Candidates then need to take a printout of their duly filled form and submit it along with copies of self-attested certificates as well as other relevant documents in an envelope that has been super scribed with “Application for the PhD 2017” and send the same to the below mentioned address:

Online registration process has commenced for Foreign Nationals/SAARC and NRI candidates at National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
International candidates need to meet the eligibility eligibility criteria as specified by NIFT for each course in order to secure admission at the design college.
The online registration process for Foreign Nationals/SAARC and NRI candidates is underway and last date to apply for admission is April 30, 2017.

Earlier, National Institute of Fashion Technology had announced NIFT Entrance Exam 2017 dates. NIFT written test for admission in undergraduate and postgraduate design programmes was conducted on February 12, 2017.
Application process for NIFT entrance exam 2017 was such that aspirants could apply for the design entrance exam till January 10, 2017.
NIFT admission process is such that aspirants need to first appear for NIFT entrance exam. Candidates who clear this admission round then need to appear for NIFT Situation Test/ Interview round.
NIFT admit card was issued to candidates who had successfully registered for the test from January 21, 2017 onwards. Aspirants are informed that NIFT admit card would be issued online only. No separate hard copy of the admit card would be sent to aspirants under any circumstance.

NIFT Admissions 2017: Application Form & Process
Candidates need to fill NIFT entrance exam application form on the official website of National Institute of Fashion technology (NIFT).
Step 1: Create Login ID
In order to fill NIFT entrance exam 2017 application form, aspirants first of all need to create their login ID. Here, candidates need to fill their details such as their:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Category
- Email ID
- Programme for which they want to apply for admission
Once a candidate fills these details his NIFT login ID is created. Aspirants need to note that information mentioned by them in their login ID cannot be modified at a later stage. Thus, they need to fill this information very carefully.
On submitting these details a prompt opens which states that an acknowledgement is sent at the email address mentioned in the NIFT application form by the aspirant. Further it is stated that aspirants need to login using their email ID and date of birth to fill their online NIFT entrance exam 2017 application form.
