DU staff members and students who are yet to take the COVID-19 vaccine must note that while the vaccine doses can be received at the West Delhi Health Centre from Monday to Saturday, the vaccine will be available at the North Campus centre on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 am to 4 pm.
DU Reopening: The University of Delhi has set up a COVID-19 vaccination drive for its teaching and non-teaching employees and students, officials said. An official statement released by the Chief Medical Officer, Delhi University said, “All teaching and non-teaching employees above 60 years who are eligible for precautionary doses, as well as students of Delhi University (DU) and its constituent colleges, are requested to get vaccinated."
The varsity is conducting the vaccination drive at WUS Health Centre at North Campus and in West Delhi. DU staff members and students who are yet to take the COVID-19 vaccine must note that while the vaccine doses can be received at the West Delhi Health Centre from Monday to Saturday, the vaccine will be available at the North Campus centre on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 am to 4 pm.
Meanwhile, the varsity has decided to conduct physical examinations for the ongoing academic session later this year. Challenging the decision, five outstation DU students filed a plea in High Court on February 9. However, Delhi High Court has refused to interfere with the Delhi University's decision to conduct offline examinations
The petitioners, represented by senior advocate Sanjay Hegde, also challenged another order stating the commencement of offline classes in the varsity from February 17, 2022. However, the varsity released the notice regarding the reopening of the campus for offline classes after receiving several requests from its students. DU in its order also advised outstation students to plan to reach Delhi in such a manner that they are able to complete the isolation period of three days before reporting to their respective colleges and departments.
