Day 4 of JEE Main 2024 April Session Ends: Check Marks vs Ranks, Cutoff Percentile for JEE Advanced
JEE Main 2024 April session Day 4 exam comes to an end. With the April session scorecard, NTA will release the JEE Mains 2024 cutoff for JEE Advanced and the AIR. JEE Main 2024 April 8 exam ends and as per the students who took the exam today, both the shifts were easy to moderate. Maths was difficult, tricky and lengthy, Physics was moderate and Chemistry was easy and some questions were tricky. Students and experts feel that the shift of the April 8 exam was the toughest yet. The BE/BTech paper was held in both shifts today. NTA will hold the BE/BTech paper in both shifts tomorrow, April 9 and on the last day that is on April 12, the BArch/BPlan paper will be held from 9 am to 12 noon.
JEE Main 2024 Marks v/s Ranks
According to the experts, to achieve a 99 percentile and rank below 10,000, one needs a score of 180 or above. Similarly, to get a 95+ percentile and a rank below 50,000, a score of 110 or above is required. However, this year the JEE Main 2024 percentile to marks ratio may vary significantly than in previous years due to the increased number of candidates who have appeared for the exam. This year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) received a record-breaking 12.57 lakh registrations for JEE Mains session 2, which is a significant rise compared to the past few years. For instance, in session 1, 12,31,874 candidates registered for JEE Mains, whereas in the January session last year, 8,60,064 candidates registered and 9,31,334 registered in the April session.

JEE Main 2024 Cutoff Percentile for JEE Advanced
As per the difficulty level of the JEE Main 2024 paper and the number of registrations received this year for both January and April sessions, experts feel that the JEE Main cutoff for JEE Advanced is going to rise by at least one percentile for each category. This year, it is anticipated that the cutoff for JEE Mains for JEE Advanced may be: General - 91+, EWS - 76+, OBC - 74+, SC - 55+, ST - 40+ and PwD - 0.11+. Last year, the JEE Mains cutoff percentile for the JEE Advanced was: General - 90.7788642, EWS - 75.6229025, OBC - 73.6114227, SC - 51.9776027, ST - 37.2348772 and PwD - 0.0013527.
