GATE 2023 will be held on February 4, 5, 11, and 12. The GATE 2023 exam will be a computer-based test for admission to MTech degrees at NIT, IIT, and other prestigious institutions.  

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 will begin from February 4, 2023. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur released admit cards for GATE 2023 on gate.iitk.ac.in on January 9, 2023.  

GATE 2023 will be held on February 4, 5, 11, and 12. The GATE 2023 exam will be a computer-based test for admission to MTech degrees at NIT, IIT, and other prestigious institutions. The GATE 2023 admit card is a crucial document without which no candidate will be able to take the entrance exam.  

All the candidates who have successfully registered for GATE 2023 will be able to GATE 2023 admit card on gate.iitk.ac.in. 

How to download GATE 2023 admit card? 

Candidates can follow the steps given below to download GATE 2023 admit card: 

  • Go to the GATE 2023 official website, gate.iitk.ac.in 
  • Click on the GATE 2023 admit card link 
  • Enter the enrollment number and password 
  • Click in the GATE admit card 2023 link available in the candidate dashboard 
  • Check the details printed on the admit card of GATE and take the print out of the same 

Candidates must note that they have to carry their GATE 2023 admit card along with a valid photo id on the day of the exam. They can follow any of the following photo id (passport/ voter id/ Aadhaar number/ PAN card / valid college id/ employee identification card/ driving licene) for verification purpose.

GATE 2023 Exam Day Guidelines for students 

Students must adhere to all the guidelines mentioned on the GATE admit card 2023. Given here is a list of instructions which candidates need to follow at the exam centre. 

  • Candidates must leave early for the exam centre to avoid traffic delays and transportation hassle 
  • Candidates must report to the exam centre as per the date and time mentioned on the admit card 
  • It is advised that candidates reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the commencement of exam the exam to facilitate frisking at the centre 
  • Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall after the commencement of paper 
  • No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam centre before the conclusion of the exam 
  • Students are not allowed to carry their personal calculators. Virtual scientific calculators will be available on the computer screen 
  • Candidates must bring a print-out of the downloaded Admit Card on A4-sized paper to the Examination for verification along with the original and valid photo Identity Document (NO photocopy / scanned copy / an expired document), which was specified during the filling up of the online application, for example, Aadhaar-UID, Passport, PAN card, Voter ID and Driving Licence).
