The application form for GATE 2025 has been postponed. The application form now starts on August 28, 2024. It was expected to start on August 24, but the date was later changed. The revised date of the GATE application form is Aug 28, 2024. No other dates have been changed. GATE 2025 Highlights

• IIT Roorkee is the conducting body for GATE 2025
• The GATE 2025 will be conducted for 30 subjects, which are referred to as test papers
• The mode of the examination is online (Computer-Based Test)
• Candidates can appear in one or two test papers of the GATE examination
• The GATE will be conducted for multiple sessions
• Admit card for GATE will be available soon after the completion of the exam.
• The GATE scorecard is valid for three years.

Who can apply for GATE 2025?

Candidates who want to pursue higher education in engineering, technology, architecture, etc., at top institutions such as IITs and NITs. Many PSUs, such as GAIL, NTPC, etc., and State Electricity Boards (SEBs) accept GATE scores to recruit trainee engineers and scientists for Group-C-level posts. 

What is the mode of GATE application form 2025?

The mode of GATE registration form is online. Candidates have to visit the GOAPS portal and apply within the stipulated time. 

How to Apply for GATE 2025?

The step-by-step process to fill out the GATE online form is as follows -

• Visit the official website of GATE- gate2025.iitr.ac.in
• Click on the application link
• Register and generate an enrollment ID
• Create a password and fill out the details required
• Upload the mentioned documents and pay the application fees
• Recheck all the information and click on submit.

The GATE is an online entrance exam, conducted in different cities and towns in India. IIT Roorkee will conduct the exam on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025 in two sessions.
