GATE 2026 subject-wise schedule released: The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati has released GATE 2026 branch-wise exam dates on its official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in. As per the schedule, there is no clash between ESE and GATE exam dates. Read below to know more.
GATE 2026 subject-wise exam schedule is now available on the official website, and per the timetable, there is no clash between GATE and ESE exam dates. Candidates who planned to appear for both exams were concerned about exam date clash and now that the schedule is out, they can plan their preparation accordingly.

ESE Prelims 2026 exam is scheduled for February 8 and will be conducted for core engineering papers - Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. None of the paper exam dates overlaps with GATE exam dates.
GATE CE, ME and EE paper is scheduled for February 14. On the other hand, GATE EC paper is dated for February 15 (forenoon session - 9:30 am to 12:30 pm).
GATE 2026 Admit Card release date
IIT Guwahati will release GATE 2026 admit card on January 2. The hall ticket link will be activated at the GOAPS portal. Credentials needed to download are enrollment ID and password. Only registered applicants can download GATE admit card 2026 to appear for examination.
GATE Mock Test 2026 Link OUT
With a few months remaining for GATE exam, students can access GATE 2026 mock test link activated on official website to understand pattern and format of question paper.

The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted in more than 200 cities across eight zones in India. There are no international centres. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam must travel to India. The details regarding the test city and address will be mentioned in the GATE admit card.
The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, will be conducting the GATE 2026 exam. The dates are OUT now. IIT Guwahati last conducted the GATE exam in 2018. Candidates who want to apply for M.Tech or any research programmes can apply for GATE. The application window is available till October 7 without late fees (revised), till October 13 (with late fee) and the exam will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15.
