COMPASS 2024
COMPASS stands as a platform for presenting and publishing original research spanning various disciplines such as computer and information sciences, social sciences, environmental sciences, and engineering. Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, this forum promotes contributions that tackle global sustainability challenges through innovative technological and scientific advancements.
COMPASS 2024 aims to foster collaboration and innovation in sustainable technologies and practices by uniting experts and researchers from various fields. This event supports IIIT-Delhi's commitment to advancing research and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration for a sustainable future.
The four-day event promises an enriching line-up of activities, featuring interactive keynote sessions, paper presentations, panel discussions, short video screenings, and specialised presentations on critical areas such as education, sustainability, agriculture, finance, and labour.
"We are honoured to host COMPASS 2024 at IIIT-Delhi. This event aligns perfectly with our mission to drive forward-thinking research and innovation. It is an excellent opportunity for scholars and practitioners to collaborate and exchange ideas that contribute to sustainable development," said Prof. Ranjan Bose, Director of IIIT-Delhi.
The ACM, a US-based international learned society for computing, is a non-profit professional membership group dedicated to advancing computing as both a science and a profession. Every year, it organises COMPASS. The last edition took place in Cape Town, South Africa.
The event is made possible through the support of prominent sponsors, including Google, Microsoft Research, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Amarnath and Shashi Khosla School of Information Technology, the Centre for Design and New Media (CDNM) at IIIT-Delhi, and the Infosys Centre of Artificial Intelligence at IIIT-Delhi.
