IIIT Hyderabad invites applications for lateral entry to dual degree programmes

The graduates of the dual degree programmes can earn two degrees – BTech and Master of Science by Research. The last date to submit the application is March 31 and the application fee is INR 2,500. 

The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad has invited applications for lateral entry to dual degree programmes. The graduates of the dual degree programmes can earn two degrees – BTech and Master of Science by Research. The masters degree requires completion of a research thesis. The programme prepares students for research-oriented jobs and higher studies. The duration of the programme is four years.  

Eligibility criteria 

The eligibility criteria for Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECD) and Computer Science and Engineering (CSD) programmes is mentioned below. 

• For ECD: Applicants completing their three semesters of BE/BTech in ECE / ETE / EIE / EEE / Electronics and Computer Engineering by July 2023 can apply. 
• For CSD: Applicants completing their three semesters of BE/BTech in CSE / IT/ AI & ML / Data Science by July 2023 are eligible to apply. 

Applicants need to appear for a computer-based lateral entry entrance examination (LEEE), which will be conducted by IIIT Hyderabad on May 6 (from 9 am to 12 pm). Shortlisted candidates will have to clear an interview to gain admission. Final admission will be done based on the interview performance. The interview will take place on May 27, 2023. 

LEEE consists of two sections – aptitude test (60 minutes) and subject test (120 minutes). The last date to submit the application is March 31 and the application fee is INR 2,500.
