IIT (BHU) to hold 12th Convocation on October 6

IIT (BHU) will organise the 12th convocation on October 6, 2023. Read here for more details.

IIT (BHU) notified that it is all set to organise the 12th convocation on October 6, 2023. 

"The Institute is delighted to announce the 12th Convocation Ceremony for the batch of 2023 on 6th October, where the recipients of the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award 2023-24 will be honored and celebrated," reads IIT (BHU) tweet.

Divyansh Chandra Roy (ECE) will be awarded the President's Gold Medal & Sh. Raghav Soni (ECE) will be honored with the Director's Gold Medal.

"3 days from now at the 12th Convocation Ceremony, Sh. Divyansh Chandra Roy (ECE) will be awarded the President's Gold Medal & Sh. Raghav Soni (ECE) will be honored with the Director's Gold Medal. IIT (BHU) heartily congratulates them!," added another tweet by the university.

Over 1641+ graduands will be awarded their degrees this year including 954 B.Tech. Graduands, 247 IDD Graduands, 223 M.Tech./M.Pharma Graduands, 44 M.Sc. Graduands, 173+ Ph.D. Graduands, 136 medal holders.

136 medals will be presented to 66 students for their exemplary performance in various disciplines, said the official notification.

Dr Rakesh Kumar Singh appointed as faculty-in charge in R&D section

Dr Rakesh Kumar Singh, Department of Physics, IIT (BHU) has been appointed as a Faculty-in Charge (International Engagement) in R&D Section w.e.f. September 25, 2023. 

The Faculty-in Charge follow these duties - international MoU and its effective implementation, international internship for research in collaboration with Training and Placement cell as well as Academic Section of IIT (BHU), guiding a student voluteer team (May be called "Research Cell" for improving R&D culture among UG and other students.
