The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has launched the fourth batch of its prestigious Certificate Programme in Machine Learning and Deep Learning. This programme is designed to equip professionals with the latest skills and in-depth knowledge required to excel in the rapidly evolving domain of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).

As AI and ML technologies continue to transform various industries, there is a growing demand for skilled professionals who can leverage these technologies effectively. The global Machine Learning market size was valued at USD 19.45 billion in 2022 and is projected to reach USD 188.34 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 37.47% from 2023 to 2030. In India, the machine learning market is expected to experience similarly remarkable growth, with a CAGR of 36.11% from 2024 to 2030, reaching a market volume of USD 17.87 billion by 2030.

Through this programme, learners will develop proficiency in efficient Python programming, mastering the skills to effectively load and pre-process data from both online and offline databases using the Pandas library. Furthermore, they will delve into the fundamental principles and challenges of machine learning, designing and training neural networks with the powerful Keras and TensorFlow modules. By the end of the programme, learners will be equipped to design and implement a range of machine learning and deep learning techniques, applying them to real-world problems and applications.

Q:   Is IIT Delhi good for an MBA?

A:

The Department of Management Studies (DMS), IIT Delhi, also known as DMS IIT Delhi offers a two-year MBA course at undergraduate courses in a full-time mode. IIT Delhi is a decent option to pursue an MBA degree. IIT Delhi ranked 4 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in the Management category IN 2024. Talking about DMS IIT Delhi MBA placements 2023, the average package offered was INR 25.82 LPA and the highest package stood at INR 41.13 LPA. A placement percentage of 100% was achieved. Thus, it is a good institute for an MBA. 

Q:   Is PhD available in IIT Delhi?

Yes, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi offers PhD in full-time and part-time modes. The doctoral-level course is made available by almost all the departments of the institute. Candidates who meet the required eligibility criteria and have the relevant work experience become eligible for admission. Currently, IIT Delhi Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology department is offering joint PhD programme with the University of Queensland.

Q:   Is BTech available in IIT Delhi?

A:

Yes, IIT Delhi offers a four-year full-time BTech course at the undergraduate level. IIT Delhi BTech admission is completely entrance-based. The selection is based on JEE Advanced score obtained by JEE Main-qualified candidates. The centralised counselling process for all the IITs is managed and regulated by the JoSAA, based on which seat allotment is carried out for all the JEE Advanced-qualified candidates. 

The six-month Certificate Programme in Machine Learning and Deep Learning is meticulously curated by esteemed IIT Delhi faculty and includes comprehensive coursework covering critical aspects of machine learning and deep learning. Learners will delve into subjects like Python, Data Processing, Data Analysis, Neural Networks, Deep Learning, Architectures and Recent Advances, NLP, among others. The programme will be conducted via the state-of-the-art Interactive Learning (IL) platform and delivered in Direct-to-Device (D2D) mode. This will include 76 hours each of online and self-paced learning, a three-week capstone project, a masterclass and an immersion session for interaction between faculty and learners in the IIT Delhi campus.
