JAM-2023: The last date to apply for spot admission to M.Sc. in Chemistry at IIT Jammu is August 6, 2023.

IIT Jammu: Apply for spot admission in M.Sc. in Chemistry by August 6

Spot admission is open for Masters in Science (M. Sc) in Chemistry at IIT Jammu. The date of spot admission and registration is August 8, 2023. The last date to apply is August 6, 2023.

The M.Sc.& MS (R) Chemistry course in Chemistry will provide with the necessary fundamental knowledge in both theory and laboratory practical levels followed by cutting-edge and related inter-disciplinary areas of research.

M.Sc. Chemistry is a 2-year master's program (77 credits) and MS (R) Chemistry program (107 credits) will be an option for up to five students of the class of M.Sc. Chemistry batch. 

Essential Criteria

As per the official announcement, the following are the eligibility criteria:

1. B.Sc./B.S Students, chemistry for at least two years/four semesters

2. B.Tech/B.E students with any specialization with four core courses in chemistry

To apply for spot admission, the candidates must:

1. Qualify JAM-2023

2. Submit JAM-2023 undertaking form

3. Not have paid the seat booking fee to any of the institutes participated in JAM-2023 counselling

4. The candidates need to produce a valid reserved category certificate (where applicable). 

The candidates need to send the following documents to the email: hod.chemistry@iitjammu.ac.in -

a) The filed in registration form (b) SSC/10th certificate, (c) 12th certificate, (d) Bacherlor's latest mark sheet, (e) JAM-2023 rank card, (f) JAM-2023 undertaking form, (g) Reserved category certificate (where applicable), (h) No seat booking undertaking form

The candidates must note that mere registration does not guarantee admission. Admissions are subject to the availability of seats as per general and reserved category guidelines set by GoI. Admission will be given following the increasing order of JAM-2023 rank in respective categories.
