IIT Kanpur Launches “SATHEE ICAR” for UG Agricultural Exam Preparation
The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has introduced “SATHEE ICAR,” a platform designed for students gearing up for the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) UG entrance exams. SATHEE, a collaborative effort between IIT Kanpur and the Ministry of Education offers free preparation resources for various competitive exams. SATHEE ICAR provides a robust collection of learning resources, featuring recorded lectures by IIT professors, live interactive sessions with subject matter experts, and a vast library of practice questions organized by topic.
Students will also benefit from AI-driven analytics that monitor learning progress, pinpoint areas for improvement, and recommend personalized study plans. The platform also offers a series of mock tests to bolster the preparation process, allowing students to benchmark their performance against peers nationwide. Aspirants can register for SATHEE ICAR via the website icar.iitk.ac.in or by downloading the SATHEE app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
With the success of its existing platforms for JEE, NEET, SSC, and Banking services exam preparations, this new ICAR-focused addition reaffirms the government’s commitment to providing accessible, top-tier educational support for a wide range of competitive exams.
On the launch of SATHEE ICAR, Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur, said, "The expansion of SATHEE to include ICAR exam preparation allows us to further transform education and empower students across diverse fields. By offering specialized learning resources for education in agricultural sciences, we are not only broadening our academic outreach but also making a substantial contribution to the nation’s agricultural development."

Q: Can I get admission in IIT Kanpur in BTech if my rank is between 0 and 5000?
The cut off rank in Round 6 for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering is 238 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in IIT Kanpur - Indian Institute of Technology.
Q: Which exam do I need to write to pursue BS from IIT Kanpur?
Candidates seeking admission to BS at IIT Kanpur must have a valid score in JEE Main, JEE Advanced and go through JoSAA counselling for final admission. Admission is completely entrance exam-based and candidates seeking admission can not get into IIT Kanpur with only the scores of JEE Main. JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA counselling is the mandatory requirement. Additionally, to be eligible for the BSc programme, students are required to have passed their Class 12 with at least 75% aggregate with Science subjects (i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).
Q: Can I get admission for BTech at IIT Kanpur without JEE?
Admission to the BTech programme at IIT Kanpur is entrance exam-based, i.e., based on JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced scores. Candidates seeking admission to BTech can not get admission to IIT Kanpur with only the scores of JEE Main.
