IIT Kanpur: New PG students to report to campus from July 21

IIT Kanpur issued notice for new PG student + MSc (2Yr) student 2023-24 (Semester - I). The notification said that all new postgraduate students and MSc (2 year) students would be asked to report to the campus between July 21 to July 23, 2023.

Details related to other logistics would be communicated by DOSA and Counselling Office of IIT Kanpur in due course of time.

“Starting at a college can feel like stepping into an unknown, but there is no need to worry, The Orientation Programme is organised to acquaint the students with the institute and to help them smoothen their transition into the Institute. The adjustement in a new environment can be daunting. You may be incredibly excited to come to campus but at the same time you may also feel nervous or unsure about what to expect. Everyone has these mixed emotions and the Orientation program is designed to make your transition to our beautiful IIT Kanpur, as seamless as possible. Please keep checking this page for further updates,” reads the official notification.

IIT Kanpur student received Best Paper Award

“Congratulations to Mr. Sumit Chatterjee, eMasters from EE Dept, for receiving the Best Paper Award in the "Data Center Networking and PON Security" track at the 2023 edition of OFC conference (San Diego, USA),” reads a tweet by IIT Kanpur.

His paper is titled "Field Demonstration of Disaggregated Optical Network Consisting of ZR+ and Coherent Channels Using Power Equalization by Switched Gain Equalization Controlled Amplifiers (M2G.2)".
