IIT Kharagpur and Wiley Partners to Advance Open Access Research

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur has announced a new open-access agreement with Wiley. Effective throughout 2024, this collaboration aims to enhance access to scholarly resources for the leading technology institute. The partnership enables IIT Kharagpur scholars and researchers to access Wiley’s journal portfolio and allows affiliated researchers to publish open access in Wiley’s collection of over 1,300 hybrid open-access journals.

Commenting on the partnership, Dr. B. Sutradhar, Librarian, IIT Kharagpur said, “IIT Kharagpur is dedicated to advancing open science and this agreement with Wiley is a significant step towards that goal. It will greatly benefit our researchers by enhancing the dissemination of knowledge and facilitating collaborative research.”

This collaboration aligns perfectly with our vision to empower researchers and accelerate scientific progress through open access publishing. Wiley is making significant strides in advancing open-access partnerships. The company has successfully signed over 100 agreements, which collectively cover more than 2,800 institutions worldwide. This demonstrates Wiley's strong momentum and commitment to expanding access to scholarly resources on a global scale.
