IIT Madras launches first ever Online BSc Program in Data Science, check details here

The Human Resource and Development Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhariyal ‘Nishank’ congratulated IIT Madras through his official Twitter handle on the introduction of its first-ever BSc online course.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras) launched a BSc Degree in Programming and Data Science. The specialty of this programme is that its the first of its kind BSc Degree in Programming and Data Science for students which can be accessed from any location. The Human Resource and Development Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhariyal ‘Nishank’ congratulated IIT Madras through his official Twitter handle on the introduction of its first-ever BSc online course.

The Online BSc programme will benefit the students who are interested in making their careers in Programming and Data Science. This course according to the HRD minister would be beneficial for building the new IT sector of India.

BSc Degree in Programming and Data Science Details

BSc Degree in Programming and Data Science offered by IIT Madras is divided into 3 stages. The first stage is the foundation level which includes 8 courses. The second stage is known as the diploma level includes six courses at every mid-level. It means students would cover 6 plus 6 courses on this level. The last stage or the third stage is the Degree level which includes 11 courses overall.
