IIT Patna, NHIDCL partner for sharing technology in highway engineering
The purpose of the agreement is to establish the collaboration between NHIDCL and IIT Patna to take up various activities such as sharing knowledge on innovative ideas and technologies in the field of highway engineering and other related areas.
The MoU signing ceremony was graced by IIT Patna Director TN Singh, NHIDCL Managing Director Chanchal Kumar, and Head of the Department Civil and Environmental Engineering, IIT Patna, Vaibhav Singhal. TN Singh said IIT Patna would be happy to extend all possible technical support for the development on various highway projects.
Foreign academicians attend course on Indian economy, society at IIT Patna
The Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) course on the Indian Economy and Society, funded by the Ministry of Education, is being organised by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Patna. The inaugural session witnessed exchange of novel ideas in the context of Indian economy and society. Professor Nalin Bharti, the convener of the course, discussed three objectives of GIAN course to explore the past, present and future of the Indian economy. He talked about looking at Indian economy from various perspectives, such as, gender, health, and education, especially when India is celebrating Azadi ka Amritmahotsav.
