IIT Patna student bags All India Rank 4 in Mathematics in GATE 2022

GATE is an exam to test a comprehensive understanding of various subjects at the undergraduate level of engineering and science.

On the basis of a valid GATE score, students get a chance to get admission for postgraduate programmes in various IITs, NITs, IIITs and other universities. Valid GATE score also opens the door of job in Public Sector Undertaking which is called PSUs.

Apart from India, two universities in Singapore and two universities in Germany get admission to research-based programmes on the basis of valid GATE score cards.

This year's GATE exam was conducted in 29 subjects or papers on 5-6 February and 12-13 February 2022.

The students of IIT Patna have performed well in this examination in which Sheikh Kiran Aziz, final year student of MSc Mathematics has got All India Rank 4 and Soumya Prakash has got All India Rank 25 in Computer Science Department. Apart from this, two students have got 73 and 82 All India rank respectively in civil subjects. There are 17 such students in different subjects whose rank is less than 1000.

Sheikh Kiran Aziz, who got All India Rank 4 in Mathematics paper of GATE Exam 2022, told the secret of his success that we should focus on Basic and Fundamentals and I solved the previous years' papers well. This year more than 40 students from IIT Patna have qualified in GATE 2022 examination in different subjects.

According to the data, this year a total of 7,11,542 students appeared in the GATE examination, out of which 1,26,813 students were declared qualified, in which the number of male candidates are   98,732 and the number of girl candidates are 28,081.
