IIT Roorkee set to organise 22nd convocation on April 6

A total of 2,022 students across 26 departments/centres in UG, PG, and PhD programs will be conferred degrees during the convocation. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be the chief guest. 

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is set to host its 22nd convocation on April 6, 2023. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be the chief guest at the convocation ceremony. 

A total of 2,022 students across 26 departments/centres in UG, PG, and PhD programs will be conferred degrees during the convocation. Of these, 1,005 are undergraduate, 638 are postgraduate, and 379 are doctoral degrees. In addition, a total of 125 awards will be conferred upon meritorious students in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes during the convocation. 

The event will commence at 10 am. Prof KK Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee, will present the Director’s Report. After that, the chief guest will present the Institute Level Awards, followed by the address of the Chairman, BoG, BVR Mohan Reddy

Prof KK Pant said: “We are looking forward to welcoming the Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan.
