JEE Main 2024: NTA releases important notice for JEE aspirants from Tamil Nadu; check details here
JEE Main 2024 notice for Tamil Nadu aspirants states that candidates who passed class 10 in 2021 from Tamil Nadu will not have to enter class 10 mark details in the application form as no class 10 examinations were conducted in 2021 due to the COVID outbreak. All the class 10 aspirants of 2021 from Tamil Nadu were declared qualified without examination.
The National Testing Agency has released an important notice for the JEE Main 2024 aspirants from Tamil Nadu. The notice is from students who are residents of Tamil Nadu and have passed class 10 in 2021.
As per the notice, ‘no examinations were conducted for 2021 batch of Class 10 in Tamil Nadu, so accordingly no marks were given on the marksheet and ‘pass’ is printed in all subjects with a disclaimer – “As per G.O. (Ms) No. 48, School Education (G.E.) department dated: 25.02.2021, all candidates who studied SSLC in the academic year 2020-21 are declared passed.’
Candidates of Tamil Nadu state who have passed their Class 10 examination in the year 2021 during to the COVID outbreak, will not be required to enter the details of their class 10 and required field will be disabled for all such students.
The notice further states that, ‘To support the students from Tamil Nadu state, it has been decided that during the filling up of the online Application Form of JEE (Main) - 2024, when candidate selects ‘Passing year’ as 2021 with ‘School Board’ as Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination (Secondary), the Result Mode field will be disabled and the associated fields for Marks / CGPA will be invisible for Tamil Nadu State Board candidates who have passed their Class 10 in year 2021.’ Read the full notice here
For those candidates who have already filled the application form, with passing year as 2021, School board as Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination (Sec.) and paid the fee, the same rule will be applied i.e. field Result Mode will be disabled and fields Total Marks, Obtained Marks, Percentage of Marks will remain invisible in the online Application Form of JEE Main 2024.
JEE Main 2024 Registration is open. Candidates can fill the application form online on the website jeemain.nta.ac.in. The last date to register for the exam is November 30. NTA will conduct JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam from January 24 to February 1.
