JEE Main, NEET 2021: NTA to submit final report on conducting entrance exam today

JEE Main 2021, NEET 2021 Entrance Exams Dates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to submit its status report on conducting the NEET 2021 and JEE Main 2021 today; i.e. July 6, 2021 to the Education Ministry. The NTA has prepared a report on how and when the NEET 2021, JEE Main 2021 exam should be held amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. With NTA submitting the report it is expected that JEE Main 2021 dates will be announced soon.
As per media reports, NTA may conduct the JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021 exams, after the CBSE 12th Results 2021 along with other state boards are declared.
Earlier, CBSE and other state boards across the country had cancelled the exams owing to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. It was CBSE, that had cancelled the CBSE 12th Board Exams 2021 first and soon after many state boards followed the suit. While state boards are finding alternative ways to evaluate students sans exams, CBSE has also opted for a different marking system to finalise the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 results. As per the media reports, the CBSE 12th results 2021 will be declared on July 31.
While for JEE Main 2021, two-session have already been conducted in February and March, the two more sessions are still remaining. As per reports, it was expected that the JEE Main 2021 dates will be anytime soon. It must be noted that NTA will release JEE Main 2021 date and JEE Main 2021 admit card at least 15 days before the start of the examination
At the same time, NEET 2021 exam is scheduled to be held on August 1, however, with the NEET 2021 application process not been started yet, it is unlikely that it will be conducted on the said date. There has been no information about the tentative schedule of releasing the NEET 2021 application for or other events of the exam such as the release of the NEET 2021 admit card, exam, releasing answer keys and results.
While NTA is preparing modalities on how the exam will be held, social distancing norms etc, the government is also assessing the situation across the country. The second wave of the covid-19 pandemic has receded and it is expected that exams might get a go ahead with several precautions in place.
