JoSAA 2024 Counselling: Check Whats' New This Year?

• Firstly, this year, JoSAA 2024 counselling will consist of 5 rounds.
• In the list of JoSAA participating institutes, two new institutes have been added. The new institutes are the Central University of Jharkhand and Gati Shakti Vishwa Vidhyalaya, Vadodara.
• Now, IIIT Bhubaneshwar reserves 50% of the total seats for Odisha State Category ("S") candidates. Therefore, registration will be done via IIIT Bhubaneshwar's official website. 
• The remaining 50% of seats fall under the Open to All ("OTA") category. Admission for the OTA category is also via JoSAA/CSAB 2024.
• The seat acceptance fee for JoSAA can be pre-paid on the official website through the payment link. The link will be active from June 14 to July 22, 2024.
• The JoSAA portal will also have a provision to make a direct payment of the seat acceptance fee without using the login credentials of the candidate.

JoSAA 2024 Registration: Steps to Apply

• Open the official website at josaa.nic.in.
• Click the link named "JoSAA Counselling Registration".
• In the new window, candidates will need to enter their JEE Main 2024/JEE Advanced 2024 application number and password and click on the submit button.
• Submit the details, and a new window comprising all the details of the candidate (as entered in JEE Main/JEE Advanced) will be displayed. Cross-check all the details and then change their passwords.
• At the time of JoSAA registration 2024, candidates will be able to change their contact details. Therefore, provide a working contact number or email id during registration. Verify all the details, and then click the "Submit" button. 
• After registration, candidates will be able to check the available choices of engineering streams and institutions (based on their rank in JEE Mains 2024/JEE Advanced). As per the availability of seats in the participating institutes, applicants must choose the BTech programmes and institutes in order of their preferences.
• At last, the candidates must not forget to lock in their choices, as it is an essential step in the process of the JoSAA 2024 seat allotment process. If a candidate fails to do so, the system will save the earlier selected choice.

JoSAA 2024 Registration: Who is Eligible?

To appear in the seat allocation rounds, candidates can check below the eigibility criteria:

• All the candidates who qualify for JEE Main 2024 will be allowed to appear for the seat allocation round.
• All the candidates who qualify for JEE Advanced 2024 will also be eligible to appear for JoSAA 2024 counselling.
• Candidates must fulfilled the "Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination criteria set by the institutes.

Qualifying Examinations are: JEE (Advanced) 2024, JEE Main 2024 BE/BTech, JEE Main 2024 B.Arch and JEE Main 2024 B. Planning

Admitting Institutes: IITs, NITs, IIEST, IIITs (Triple-I-Ts) and other -GFTIs.
