JoSAA Round 1 cutoff 2021 yet to be out, aspirants take to Twitter to express disappointment

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has not released the JoSAA Round 1 cutoff 2021 yet. Unlike previous years, the authority has not announced the JoSAA cutoff so far, making it difficult for the candidates to reach a decision. 

After the declaration of JEE Advanced results, aspirants who want to take admission to undergraduate courses in different Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) eagerly wait for JoSAA cutoffs. Since this year, JoSAA has not released Round 1 closing ranks even after the first and second allotment results, candidates participating in further rounds are facing difficulty in predicting the admission chances. 

A section of students have taken to Twitter to express disappointment over the delay in releasing JoSAA 2021 Round 1 cutoff. A user tweeted, “This year, JoSAA has not released the Round 1 closing ranks after the first seat allotment result, and the candidates participating in Round 2 are facing difficulty in predicting the admission chances.” Another tweeted, “@dpradhanbjp @EduMinOfIndia @IITKgp @NITJaipur This year Opening Closing rank for JOSAA 1st round allotment not published, no update on JOSAA website as well. #JOSAA2021.” Scroll down to check how the IIT aspirants have reacted. 

JEE Advanced is the most important engineering entrance exam for the IIT aspirants. The JEE Advanced cutoff varies each year depending upon various factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, number of seats and number of the students appeared in the exam.  

The cutoffs tell the candidate which course and institute is in high demand. The cutoff list also helps the candidate identify the institutes he/she is likely to get admission in.  

The last date to register for JoSAA counselling 2021 was October 25. JoSAA has released the complete schedule for JoSAA 2021 counselling. The registration and choice filling for JoSAA 2021 began on October 16. JoSAA 2021 Round 1 seat allotment result was announced on October 27. Earlier, JoSAA 2021 Mock Seat allotment round 1 result was released by the authority on October 22. JoSAA mock seat allotment result was displayed as per the choices filled by candidates till October 22, 2021, at 12 am.
