KTU releases timetable for BTech exams

BTech third-semester minor (2021 admission) examinations, which were earlier scheduled to begin on February 25, will now start on February 28. 

The APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University has released the timetable for BTech semester examinations for regular and supplementary schemes. 

The timetables are for BTech first-semester supplementary (2015 scheme) for first-year engineering batch; BTech first semester regular and supplementary (2019 scheme), BTech second-semester supplementary (2015 scheme), BArch first semester regular and supplementary (2021 scheme) examinations. For more details, candidates are advised to visit the official website of KTU on www.ktu.edu.in. 

The university has also revised the BTech third-semester minor (2021 admission) examinations. The exams, which were earlier scheduled to begin on February 25, will now start on February 28. 

KTU has also released detailed timetable of BTech S7 Honours Examination, December 2022 (2019 admission) which is scheduled to be held on February 25, 2023 and timetable o f BTech S5 Honours Examination, December 2022 (2020 admission) which is scheduled to be conducted on March 4, 2023.  

Govt submits 3-member panel to replace Ciza Thomas as KTU VC in-charge

Meanwhile, the government has submitted a panel of three names under the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) to Raj Bhavan to replace Ciza Thomas as Vice-Chancellor in-charge of KTU.   

The three members recommended by the government are Joint Director of Technical Education Byjubai TP, KTU former dean Vrinda V Nair and KTU former syndicate member Satheesh Kumar C. 

The Kerala High Court had upheld a single bench order which refused to interfere with appointment of Ciza Thomas as the Vice Chancellor in charge of the KTU. The bench said that the state could replace Ciza, even before expiry of six months, by following the UGC procedure and suggesting a panel of a minimum of three other names to the Chancellor.
