PM to inaugurate Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engg & Technology tomorrow
Prime Minister Narendra Modi to also lay foundation stone of four new medical colleges in Banswara, Sirohi, Hanumangarh and Dausa districts of Rajasthan. The inauguration will be done via video-conferencing tomorrow (September 30, 2021).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Jaipur, at 11 am tomorrow (September 30). He will also lay foundation stone of four new medical colleges in Banswara, Sirohi, Hanumangarh and Dausa districts of Rajasthan via video-conferencing.
These medical colleges have been sanctioned under the centrally sponsored scheme for “Establishment of new medical colleges attached with district/ referral hospitals”. Preference to set up medical colleges is given to undeserved, backward and aspirational districts. Under three phases of the scheme, 157 new medical colleges have been approved throughout the nation. The scheme is administered by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
“Together with the Government of Rajasthan, the Government of India has established CIPET: Institute of Petrochemicals Technology, Jaipur. It is self-sustainable and serves the needs of the petrochemical and allied industries. It will provide education to youth to become skilled technical professionals,” the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot will also attend the function.
