Tezpur University announces spot admission for B.Tech. in Food Engineering and Technology tomorrow
Tezpur University has announced the online spot admission to B.Tech. in Food Engineering and Technology tomorrow, September 1, 2023, at 10 am onwards.
A special online admission drive for All India candidates to B. Tech. in Food Engineering and Technology, Tezpur University, Napaam, Assam will be held on September 1, 2023, 10 am onwards. Interested candidates need to fill the following Google form by 9 am of September 1, 2023 - : https://forms.gle/myYz68YtFFBSnqH98.
Eligibility Requirement for B.Tech. in Food Engineering and Technology
Following are the eligibility requirement:
- JEE Main Score-2023
- 10+2 standard or equivalent examination with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point, where applicable and pass marks or equivalent grade point in (1) Physics, (2) Mathematics, (3) Language, (4) Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/Technical vocational subject (any one of them), and (5) any other subject. Relaxation of 5% marks for reserved category candidates,
- Candidates from All India can apply.
Admission Process
Following is the admission process for B. Tech. in Food Engineering and Technology, Tezpur University:
- Candidates need to fill the Google Form
- They will be selected based on JEE Main-2023 score and available seats in respective category.
- Selected candidates will be informed through email.
- A candidate has to secure his/her seat by paying admission fee and application fee online.
As classes of B. Tech. has already started, the admitted candidates have to report the department physically for document verification and hostel admission on September 4, 2023, (Monday).
The Department of Food Engineering and Technology at Tezpur University is one of the six constituent departments under the School of Engineering. The main objective of the department is to create trained and skilled human resources to cater to the needs of the rapidly growing food processing sector. This department earlier known as Department of Food Processing Technology started in 2006 with the two year M. Sc. programme in Food Processing Technology. The department is currently offering B. Tech., M. Tech. and Ph. D. programmes.
