There has been a very significant increase in both the quality of roles and compensation offered with the average CTC increasing to INR 15.6 lakhs from INR 12.1 lakhs the previous year, a growth of 29%.

GLIM Placements 2021: Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM), Gurgaon, concluded the placements drive for PGPM Class of 2022. According to the official report, this was the best-ever placement season GLIM witnessed for its Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) Class of 2022. Great Lakes Institute of Management commenced its flagship one-year full-time MBA program, PGPM for young professionals in July 2021, and within 5 months, the batch got placed, setting a new record. “There has been a very significant increase in both the quality of roles and compensation offered with the average CTC increasing to INR 15.6 lakhs from INR 12.1 lakhs the previous year, a growth of 29%,” the press note states.

GLIM Placements 2021 Key Highlights

  • Large number of offers by sought-after firms like Accenture, Deloitte and Paytm
  • Average CTC increased by 29% to INR 15.6 lakhs p.a. with the highest domestic CTC being INR 19.3 Lakhs p.a.
  • The average post-MBA CTC was 3.1 times the pre-MBA CTC for PGPM Class of 2022 – a growth of 210% in less than a year.

The season witnessed both increased offers from existing recruiters as well offers from new recruiters leading to students getting excellent opportunities as well as increased compensation, informs the institute.  This year, the recruitment drive of Great Lakes Institute of Management witnessed the participation of top recruiters such as Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, Genpact, Infosys, KPMG, L&T InfoTech, Paytm, TCS, Great Learning, Tiger Analytics and Droom. The placement drive also welcomed a few new recruiters as well.

According to the official placement report, reflecting the profile of the class with students having pre-MBA experience in diverse industries ranging from 2-8 years, Consulting (41%) emerged as the largest recruiting sector followed by IT/ITES (30%) and Fintech (18%). Students were offered various coveted roles in Analytics, Digital, Business & Functional Consulting, Digital Operations, Finance, Product Management, Operations & Marketing, etc. There were also some very niche roles offered in Digital Operations in terms of Business Transformation, Project Management and Performance Improvement.
