BHU Appoints New Directors for Sciences, Environment, and Management Institutes

These appointments come after the conclusion of the tenures of previous directors, including Prof. Anil Kumar Tripathi at the Institute of Science, Prof. A.S. Raghubanshi at the Institute of Environment & Sustainable Development, and Prof. S.K. Dubey at the Institute of Management Studies.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has announced appointment of three new directors to helm key institutes within the prestigious institution.

Prof. Sanjay Kumar, a distinguished figure from the Department of Physics, has been entrusted with the leadership of the Institute of Science. Prof. Kumar, who currently serves as the Head of the Department of Physics and Coordinator of IOE - BHU, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.

The Institute of Environment & Sustainable Development will now be led by Prof. A. S. Raghubanshi, marking his third tenure in this esteemed position. Prof. Raghubanshi's extensive background in environmental studies and sustainable development positions him as a key figure in driving BHU's commitment to environmental consciousness.

Heading the Institute of Management Studies is Prof. Ashish Bajpai, a seasoned faculty member recognized for his contributions to management education. Prof. Bajpai's appointment underscores BHU's focus on grooming future business leaders and fostering entrepreneurship.

These appointments come after the conclusion of the tenures of previous directors, including Prof. Anil Kumar Tripathi at the Institute of Science, Prof. A.S. Raghubanshi at the Institute of Environment & Sustainable Development, and Prof. S.K. Dubey at the Institute of Management Studies. Despite their departure, they continued to provide leadership until the appointment of their successors.

The new directors will serve for a duration of five years or until their respective dates of superannuation, underscoring BHU's commitment to stability and continuity in academic leadership. Their collective vision and leadership are expected to propel BHU's institutes towards greater heights of excellence in research, education, and community engagement.
