Central University of Haryana Revises Eligibility Conditions to Promote Multidisciplinary Education

Central University of Haryana has revised the eligibility condition for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered in academic sessions starting from July 2024. The CUH revised eligibility criteria 2024 has been implemented in order to promote multidisciplinary education. The eligibility criteria of the Central University of Haryana have been revised to adhere to National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of CUH considers it a major breakthrough to promote multidisciplinary education and hailed hailed "NEP-2020 is a vision document for the future of the nation and remarked that this initiative of the university would provide greater freedom of choice to the students seeking admission to UG and PG programmes. It will break the silos between the disciplines and students shall have wider options to choose their academic pathways."
Central University of Haryana Revised Eligibility Conditions
Students can check the revised eligibility conditions from below:
- Admission in a Master’s programme in various subjects of social sciences, Management, Geography, languages, Library and Information Science, Yoga, Statistics, Tourism and Hotel Management and Mathematics can be taken based on 50% marks or equivalent grade from a recognised university. Students can apply for admission to any of these programmes (through CUET). Students can explore the possibility of higher education beyond their core discipline.
Besides, the Central University of Haryana stated that the introduction of revised eligibility conditions will help the university in expanding its possibility of being a multidisciplinary research university. The Vice-Chancellor also assured that the CUH shall keep introducing innovative strategies towards learner-centric quality higher education.
