Delhi University Admission 2023: Trial for ECA category likely from July 31
Delhi University will announce date and slot schedule for trials after a notification for the ECA admissions is issued and the outstation candidates would have to plan their journey and stay accordingly. DU has 1,348 ECA seats this year in comparison with 1,220 last year.
DU Admissions 2023: Delhi University is all set to commence the trials for admission under the extracurricular activities (ECA) quota from July 31. Apart from the admissions through National Cadet Corps and National Service Scheme, DU will conduct trials for all activities. A total of 12 activities are divided into several sub-categories and different colleges are designated as the nodal centres for conducting the trials.

For trials, the candidates will have to get their own equipment/mats/writing material, etc. No sharing would be allowed.
The candidates will be judged by an assessment committee that will be formed for each category and their decision will be final. Disciplinary action will be taken against any candidate who misbehaves with any university official, expert or judge during the process. Recording/filming of the trials by the candidates/accompanists won't be allowed. Besides those mentioned under a few categories, use of any gadget/any other unfair means may lead to cancellation of the candidature.
In case of theatre, no personal remark, aspersions or character assassination will be allowed and vulgarity or bitter insinuations in presentation should be avoided, said TOI report.
Candidates appearing for debate trials must note that the topics will be announced on the spot and paper reading will not be allowed. For digital media, the topics and the expected outcome will be announced to the candidates on the spot. These candidates will also have to bring their own equipment. The memory card used in any equipment should be fully formatted and can be checked at any point by the assessment committee. No mixing, matching or morphing and softwares such as Photoshop or any filter for enhancing images will be permitted.
