Delhi University Centenary Celebrations: Exam for ex-students to award degrees
DU has decided to give centenary chances to all the ex-students who could not complete their degrees.
The University of Delhi, which is completing 100 years of its establishment this year is come up with a scheme to award degrees to its former students who could not complete their degrees. Delhi University will conduct special examinations for awarding degrees to ex-students.
Delhi University (DU) has decided to give the centenary chance to all the ex-students of the University, who could not complete their degrees due to various impediments.
Union Minister of State for Education, Dr Subhas Sarkar has informed the Lok Sabha that it has been decided to conduct an examination twice during the centenary year of the university commencing from 01.05.2022 to 01.05.2023, i.e. May 1, 2022, to May 1, 2023.
While replying to a question on whether the University of Delhi is planning to give their ex-students a chance to complete their degree this year, as a part of its centenary celebration Sarkar informed that the DU has decided to give the centenary chance to all the ex-students of the University.

Delhi University will be inaugurating its centenary celebrations from May 1, 2022. DU Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh giving details about the event earlier last week informed that the centenary celebration will begin on May 1, 2022, with the release of the Delhi Universityโs commemorative stamp and coin.
Singh also informed that during the centenary celebrations, a Coffee Table Book will be released, there shall be an adoption of a centenary village with achievable and tangible social welfare-oriented goals, health awareness checkups and blood donation camps, among others. Plantation of simultaneous 100 trees at 100 locations across DU campuses will be done.
