DU Admissions 2022: DU SOL, NCWEB admission through merit, No CUET score required

Delhi University will not hold the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 for UG admission to its School of Open Learning (SOL) and National Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB).

DU Admissions 2022: Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh has released the admission policy of the University of Delhi (DU) for the academic year 2022-23. As per the policy, Delhi University will not hold the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 for UG admission to its School of Open Learning (SOL) and National Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB).

This is the only exception in DU admission policy 2022 which is now entirely based on the entrance test. While talking about the admission process of DU's undergraduate programmes, the vice-chancellor said that except for the SOL and NCWEB, admission to all undergraduate programmes will be through CUET 2022 only.

Candidates will be able to appear in CUET only in those subjects which they have studied in class 12. The merit will also be calculated on the basis of a combination of only those subjects in which the candidate has appeared in the CUET. There will be no disadvantage to any student who wishes to change streams, said the statement, as reported by PTI.

The Vice-Chancellor informed that the DU SOL Admissions 2022 and DU NCWEB Admissions 2022 will be done through merit-based admission. This will help a lot of students to pursue graduation even if they don't score well in CUET. He informed that the registration process will start on May 6, 2022.

The detailed information for admission in DU has been made available on a single platform, i.e. the official website of DU– admission.uod.ac.in. The bulletin of information to invite students has also been created. Translation of this Bulletin will also be done in Hindi. Illustrative information shall be uploaded on the website to help the candidate choose the subject for appearing in CUET.

To help students, the chat boxes have also been activated on the official website. There will be a provision of a help desk to assist the candidates in the selection of question papers and open house webinars will also be organized to further help the students.
