DU Admissions 2023: Delhi University to organise webinar on admissions under ECA, sports quota

Before commencing DU Admissions 2023 under the ECA category, the admission Branch of the University of Delhi has organized a webinar on admission under Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) and Sports Quota on Tuesday, July 25, at 3 PM.

DU Admissions 2023: Delhi University is expected to commence the trials for admission under the extracurricular activities (ECA) quota from July 31. Before commencing DU Admissions 2023 under the ECA category, the admission Branch of the University of Delhi has organized a webinar on admission under Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) and Sports Quota on Tuesday, July 25, at 3 PM.

This webinar will also be broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of University of Delhi at youtube.com/@Univofdelhi. Apart from the admissions through National Cadet Corps and National Service Scheme, DU will conduct trials for all activities. A total of 12 activities are divided into several sub-categories and different colleges are designated as the nodal centres for conducting the trials.

Giving information in this regard, DU Dean of Admission, Professor Haneet Gandhi told that during the webinar Dr. Deepti Taneja, Convener of ECA Admissions and Joint Dean of Culture Council, will give information on ECA quota while Dr Anil Kalkal, Director of Sports and Physical Education, University of Delhi will give information on admissions under sports quota.

Professor Gandhi informed that this is the second webinar of the Admission Branch, the theme of which is Orientation to Admission under ECA and Sports Supernumerary Quotas. During this webinar, the allocations and admissions-related policies with respect to these quotas will be shared. Aspects like categories that are offered, marking schemes, schedules and details of trials and criteria of creating the merit, etc. will be covered during the webinar. She called upon the candidates that all the concerned candidates must join this webinar so that their doubts can be resolved.
