Teacher's Day 2023: The Delhi OBC Commission awarded the three Professors from Delhi's Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) with the Teachers Excellence Award 2023. These awards serve as a testament to their outstanding contributions to the field of education, particularly in the realm of higher education. The awardees were Professor (Dr) A K Saini, Dean, University School of Mass Communication; Professor (Dr) Varun Joshi, Dean, University School of Environment Management and Dr Durgesh Tripathi, Associate Professor and In-Charge, University School of Filmmaking.

These individuals were recognized for their unwavering commitment and dedication to academic excellence and their significant roles in shaping the nation's educational landscape.

The award ceremony was organized under the aegis of the Delhi Commission for OBC, Government of NCT of Delhi, and took place at the seminar hall of Delhi Secretariat, ITO, New Delhi. The event witnessed the gracious presence of distinguished personalities, including Jagdish Yadav, Chairman, OBC Commission; Dr. Amitabh Ranjan, Former Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, and Chairman, Reserve Bank of India Service Board; Yadunath Paudel, Councillor of Culture, Embassy of Nepal; Baldev Raj Sharma, classical musician from the Indore Gharana, among other esteemed guests.

Notably, the Teachers Excellence Award, 2023, also celebrated the achievements of other outstanding educators. The list of recipients included Professor Abha Yadav, National Law University; Professor Manukonda Rabindranath, Jawaharlal Nehru University; Professor Neerja Singh, University of Delhi and eminent teachers from various states such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu. This recognition serves as a source of inspiration for educators nationwide, emphasizing the pivotal role of teachers in nurturing future generations and contributing to the nation's progress.
