The convocation will be conducted for students who passed out in the Academic Years 2019 and 2020 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar will grace the JMI Centenary Year Convocation Ceremony as the Chief Guest and Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan will Chair the convocation.

JMI Centenary Year Convocation for Graduates of 2019 and 2020

JMI Centenary Year Convocation: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is all set to hold its Centenary Year Convocation on July 23, 2023. The convocation will be conducted for students who passed out in the Academic Years 2019 and 2020 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar will grace the JMI Centenary Year Convocation Ceremony as the Chief Guest and Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan will Chair the convocation.

JMI Vice Chancellor Professor Najma Akhtar (Padma Shri) called on Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan to invite him to Chair the Centenary Year Convocation. Union Education Minister has very kindly accepted the invitation, according to an official statement released by the institute.

The Vice Chancellor expressed her gratitude to the Minister of Education for granting her an audience. She took the opportunity to inform the Minister about JMI’s recent accomplishments and outstanding achievements. The Minister’s special interest in JMI became evident from the fact that he was already well-informed about the varsity’s latest remarkable feats and achievements. During the meeting, she also made a mention about her proposal for the establishment of a medical college at JMI.

Jamia Millia Islamia has commenced the online registration to participate in the Convocation on July 5. Candidates must note that the last date to register on the portal is July 12, 2023. All students who have graduated in the Academic Years 2019 and 2020 are requested to register themselves by providing the requisite information on the given link http://events.jmi.ac.in.
