IIM Bangalore launches advanced course for students interested in family business
The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, has come up with an advanced management programme i.e. Family Business Advanced Management (FAME) programme, with a vision to train the upcoming generation of Indian business owners with skills, techniques, and knowledge to flourish and propel their brands and companies.
Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B), one of India's premier business schools is offering an innovative advance course for family business owners. According to the official reports, IIM Bangalore is inviting family business owners to join this advanced course on its campus. Since the last 13 years (2006-07) the institute is offering a management course for family businesses and entrepreneurs to help them flourish their age-old businesses using innovative ideas and technology. The institute also stated that around 400 owners coming from diverse sectors have successfully completed this course. It also added that many business owners joined this advanced course due to the increasing complexity in the business environment.
As a result, the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, (IIM-B) has come up with an advanced management programme i.e. Family Business Advanced Management (FAME) programme, with a vision to train the upcoming generation of Indian business owners with skills, techniques, and knowledge to flourish and propel their brands and companies.
The syllabus and curriculum for Family Business Advanced Management (FAME) programme are designed by professors Dalhia Mani and K Kumar.
The course comprises of 21 days on-campus modules stretched for six calendar months. Students enrolled under the FAME programme are required to conceive and implement a business challenge. The enroll limit for the family business course at IIM Bangalore goes up to 25 students only.
