IIT Delhi joins hands with DIAL to improve airport’s efficiency
The analytics will benefit the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) in improvising its allocation of resources in response to dynamically changing passenger loads at the airport.
The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has signed a five-year agreement with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi to improve passenger experience and operational efficiency at its terminals by leveraging artificial intelligence-based predictive analytics.
The analytics will benefit DIAL in improvising its allocation of resources in response to dynamically changing passenger loads at the airport, it said. It will also help in better understanding of passenger preferences and allow DIAL to design customised services for them, IIT Delhi said in a statement.
“A team from IIT Delhi...will carry out AI-based predictive analytics on identified areas of improvement and come up with next-level innovative solutions,” it said. The agreement between the two stakeholders was signed on February 21 and will remain in force for five years, it added.
Meanwhile, IIT Delhi start-up Nanoclean Global recently has launched world’s smallest wearable air purifier, Naso95, which the start-up claims is as effective as an N95 grade face mask. Naso95 is an N95 grade nasal filter. It sticks to the user’s nasal orifice and prevents bacteria, viral infection and pollen and air pollution. It is at par effective with an N95 grade face mask. A person using Naso95 is more protected than a general face mask.
The product has been tested and certified by national and international labs for its safety and efficiency. The product comes in different sizes, i.e. small, medium, large and kids size. It can also be used by kids as they are more prone to air-borne infections and air pollution.
