Department of Water Resources Development and Management (DWRDM) at IIT Roorkee is starting a new MTech programme on Drinking Water and Sanitation from the academic session 2022-2023, the institute said in a statement.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee's Department of Water Resources Development and Management has announced that it is going to launch a new MTech programme in drinking water and sanitation from the academic session 2022-23.
IIT Roorkee in a tweet announced that the “Department of Water Resources Development and Management (DWRDM) at IIT Roorkee is starting a new MTech programme on Drinking Water and Sanitation from the academic session 2022-2023. The course structure is designed to cover broad aspects and emerging concerns related to Drinking Water and Sanitation, including Technological and Governance issues.”
“This course will help (DWRDM), IIT Roorkee to develop trained human resources and conduct research in the vital subject area of drinking water and sanitation to cater to the needs of the Afro-Asian Countries, including India, which would promote sustainable development goals of the society,” it added.
The IIT Roorkee Senate in its 89th meeting held on December 9, 2021, approved the proposal of the Department of Water Resources Development and Management to introduce an MTech programme on "Drinking Water and Sanitation", as per the official notification.
IIT Roorkee Admissions 2022: Details
Candidates interested to pursue the master's programmes must note that the admission will be done through Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2022 from April 11. All the eligible candidates can submit their admission forms on the official website of the institute from April 11 to May 11, 2022. The institute had earlier released the JAM scorecard 2022 on March 21 at jam.iitr.ac.in.
Recently, IIT Roorkee had organised an alumni outreach event at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) on March 27, 2022, to mark 175 years of establishment from the year 1847 to 2022.
