Kannur University Exams 2022: Question paper to be sent to colleges via email

Kannur University has announced that it will be sending the question papers directly to the colleges through email. The varsity will send the question paper for Undergraduate, Postgraduate and BEd courses exams a day before the exam on the official email id of the college or the principal.

It can be opened using a password, 90 minutes before the exam actually starts. Then it can be printed by the college on its campus to distribute to the examination halls. The college principals will be responsible to conduct the exams.

Meanwhile, the Kerala Private College Teachers Association (KPCTA) has alleged that the decision will sabotage the exam process. They claimed that if the question papers are opened and printed 90 minutes prior to the examination, the chances of them getting leaked are very high.

Another group of teachers raised their concerns that the exams conducted in this way, will just cause chaos in colleges in distant places where the internet connectivity is poor. Some teachers also raised that printing the question paper 90 minutes before the exam might cause delay as per the nature of the subject and the length of the question paper.

However, the Kannur University assured that in case there is any flaw found in the exam procedure, in that case, they will rectify it promptly.

It must be noted that the examinations for the fourth-semester Bed exam will begin on May 12 and the fourth semester PG exams will begin on May 17. Earlier, Kannur University had to cancel two degree-level examinations after it allegedly distribute question papers replicas.
