ILICAT 2025: The Indian Law Institute will tentatively release the ILICAT Notification 2025 in February. The ILICAT 2025 Exam will be conducted in a pen-and-paper-based mode. The exam authority will release the ILICAT dates for admission to the Master of Laws and PhD course. The candidates who have obtained or are in the final year of law degree (3-years or 5-years LLB course) are eligible for admissions if they qualify the entrance exam, and Viva-voce + Presentation. ILICAT Application Process is likely to begin in March. What is ILICAT?

The Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test (ILICAT) is a law entrance exam conducted by The Indian Law Institute (ILI) for admissions to one-year LLM course. The exam is held in pen-paper based test mode and the question paper carries objective as well as subjective type questions. ILICAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

The candidates seeking admissions to a one-year LLM course at ILI need to fulfil the eligibility criteria as under:

  • They should have obtained an LLB Degree with minimum 50 per cent marks from any University/Institution that is recognised by the Bar Council of India or Law course from a foreign country with minimum 50 per cent aggregate marks or equivalent grade as per the Association of Indian University (AIU) Guidelines.
  • The candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped category need to secure at least 45 per cent marks as per the relaxation is given for these reserved categories.
  • Those belonging to the Kashmiri Migrant category should have secured at least 40 per cent marks in the qualifying degree examination.
