All India Bar Examination (AIBE 17) Result 2023: Direct Link to be OUT @allindiabarexamination.com & Live Updates

As reported earlier, the official websites to check AIBE 17 result are as under:

AIBE 17 official website has been restored, and no changes have been updated on the website. The exam authority is in the final stage of AIBE 17 result declaration, but there is still speculation as to when the results will be out. 

As candidates eagerly wait for AIBE 17 result, the official website is down or showing Japanese e-commerce advertisement same as earlier. Candidates have tried accessing the website but failed due to this issue. 

As per the minimum qualifying criteria for AIBE and the cutoff marks, all candidates need to obtain marks out of 98 marks, to Pass AIBE 17:

Once the results of AIBE 17 are announced, candidates will have to:

• Check and download the result page of AIBE XVII and get printouts
• Get result details corrected in case of spelling errors (if any) from BCI exam helpdesk via email
• Apply for Certificate of Practice by obtaining an application format from the enrolled state bar council
• Fill the COP application format, and submit it in person to the state bar council along with AIBE 17 result copy and required fees. 

The state bar council will send COP by mail on the registered address of candidates. 

As the question paper was easier than last session, and the cutoff marks have been dropped too, therefore, the chances of passing AIBE 17 are higher this year. 

According to AIBE 17 marking scheme, for each question 1 mark will be awarded to a candidate, but there will be no negative marking for wrong attempts. The final marks will be out of total questions and questions correctly attempted by candidates. This means, candidates will score marks out of 98 for all their correct attempts.

No, the exam authority does not accept any objections against the final answer key. Therefore, the results will be prepared on the basis of final answer key released on the website. 

The cutoff marks for AIBE 17 has been dropped by 2 marks already, and no further cutoff marks are to be dropped.

Yes, if the candidates obtain exactly same marks as the minimum cutoff then they will be declared PASS for AIBE 17. 

The qualifying criteria states candidates obtaining 40% of the total scores for General/OBC category, and 35% of total scores of SC/ST/PWD category will be declared PASS. Therefore,

Candidates who forgot their login credentials i.e. Application Number or Password can obtain it from the official website as under:

The registration number of candidates is shared with them on their email address, moreover, it is mentioned on their admit card as well. 

To obtain password: 

1. Go to the official website and click on Registration link https://register.cbtexams.in/BCI/Registration/Account/ForgotPassword 
2. On this page, click on Login and the forgot password link 
3. A new window will open where, candidates have to enter their registration number and phone number, and click on Get Password
4. The password will be sent to the registered mobile number of the candidates.

Only candidates who have appeared for the bar exam are able to know their qualifying status. However, if BCI withholds results of any test centre, then it will inform by releasing a list of all test centres with centre code, and the reason/ rectification to be done by candidate.

Yes, candidates can check and download the result of AIBE 17 on their mobile phones as well. Candidates are, however, advised to download AIBE 17 result on a laptop/ desktop, just in case their mobile phone does not show the result page.

AIBE website facing troubles has been restored. The issue of 'Japanese e-commerce' products appearing on the website has been fixed.

• AIBE 17 results are in the final stage and will be announced very soon

• Final answer key with 2 deleted questions and 1 revised answer is the basis for result evaluation

BCI has just uploaded a notification on the website stating the resul will be out soon, and candidates will be informed via emails to all registered candidates. Read below:

As per the latest update on the official website, only one question has been revised from the final answer key of AIBE 17. Earlier, the final answer key was released with 2 revised options, but now there is only 1 question/ answer that has been revised, therefore, candidates who attempted this question will only get 1 mark. Those who skipped this question will not get any marks for this question.

It is highly possible that exam authority will not consider the answer sheet where no attendance or correct data is found. If you actually appeared for the exam, then you must write to the exam authorities on the given email address to inform about the glitch if your results are not declared.

No, in order to obtain Certificate of Practice, candidates must submit the hardcopy of AIBE 17 result along with the application form (filled in format as obtained from the official website or SBC office).

No, the candidates beloging to different reserved categories will not get any grace marks. In fact, there is no concept of Grace Marking in AIBE.

Those belonging to SC/ST/PWD have been given relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks i.e. they need to obtain 35% marks while General/ OBC category need to obtain 40% of total marks for AIBE paper. 

No, candidates need not re-take AIBE 17 examination if their qualifying status shows WITHHELD. The exam authority will rectify all such results by asking the candidate's to provide proper details as required. 

As informed earlier, the bar council has setup committee to find out truth about cheating at Rajkot test centre, and found out that the reports were misleading and the Advocate in question failed to provide cheating material to the candidates. Therefore, no paper leak or cheating case was found on investigation. In such circumstances, the exam authority will not withheld/ delay results of candidates who took AIBE exam at the reported test centre. 

The results of all 1,71,402 candidates will be prepared on the basis of following method: 

• Total correct questions attempted by candidates = total marks obtained by candidates out of 98 marks (as two questions have been deleted)
• Candidates will be given marks for attempting the questions for which the exam authorities have revised answers.
• Those who did not attempt these questions will not get any marks.
• Candidates will not get any marks for attempting the deleted questions.
• No negative marking to be done for incorrect attempts.

While BCI has not confirmed any date or time for AIBE result declaration, the result annoucement is expected anytime now. As per the revision made in AIBE 17 final answer key, the total marks out of which result will be evaluated are 98 marks. This means, candidates need to obtain:

• 38 marks out of 98 marks if they belong to General/OBC category,
• And 34 marks out of 98 marks, if they belong to SC/  ST / PWD category.
