The Centre for Transparency & Accountability in Governance at National Law University Delhi (NLUD) and the Centre for Civil Society invited abstracts on the theme of Ease of Living & Doing Business in India. Abstract of 300 words is to be submitted in .docx format by February 19 at submit@ccs.in.

"As of now, 22 states have enacted public service laws to ensure accountable, time-bound, and transparent delivery of public services and a few states have enacted ease of doing business laws. There is, however, a paucity of scholarship surrounding these laws and related governance mechanisms. To bridge this gap in academic literature we welcome abstracts," reads the official notification.

The sub-themes are - public service guarantee laws and ease of doing business laws, e-governance and digitisation of service delivery, mechanisms to enhance transparency and accountability, implementation of the law, workings and efficacy of the public service guarantee commissions (also called Right to Services Commission in some states), the efficacy of the complaints and dispute mechanisms in such laws, role and relevance of private intermediaries such as Lok Seva Kendras, global best practices, or any other relevant sub-themes identified by the authors.

"Abstracts may be up to 300 words in length and should also include a brief summary of the research methodology to be used up to 100 words. Any uniform method of citation can be used. Co-authorship of up to two persons is permitted," added the notification.
