RGNUL: PhD entrance test on Feb 26; Apply by Feb 10

RGNUL Punjab has invited applications for admission to PhD in Law, Social Sciences, Humanities, Criminology and English language latest by February 10, 2023.

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab has invited applications for the PhD entrance test for admissions to the PhD courses in Law, Social Sciences, Humanities, Criminology and English language. The last date to apply is February 10, 2023. The completed form must be accompanied by the proof of payment and must be sent through speed/registered post addressed to Registrar RGNUL, Punjab, Patiala.

The PhD entrance test for the 2023 batch is all set to be conducted on February 26, 2023, between 10 am to 1 pm.

The number of vacant seats for the PhD programme shall be notified on the website rgnul.ac.in. 

"The preference shall be primarily given to the candidates in the areas like - Alternative Dispute Redressal (ADR), Business Laws, Information and Technology Laws, Air and Space Laws, Criminology etc. The proposals consisting of Empirical Research will be preferred," said the official statement.

The entrance test shall be a written exam of duration 3 hours for a total mark of 70. There will be three parts - part 1 will be the research method (20 MCQs) for 20 marks, and part 2 will comprise three questions on research methodology out of which the candidate shall attempt two of 7.5 marks each and the total marks for this part is 15.

Part 3 shall have three questions out of the prescribed syllabus for PhD in Law and PhD in Social Sciences, Humanities, Criminology and English language and literature. Candidate needs to attempt any two questions for 10 marks each. This part is for a total of 20 marks.
