IIMC starts admission process; to admit students through CUET-PG

The entrance test for Journalism courses in Marathi, Malayalam, Odia and Urdu will be conducted separately

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has started the admission process for admission to various Post Graduate Diploma courses like Mass Communication and Journalism and Advertising and Public Relations. This year admission into courses offered by various centres of IIMC will be done through Central University Entrance Test (CUET).

IIMC, one of the most sought after institutes for mass communication has announced the admission process for various post-graduate-level courses. Admission to IIMC is going to be done this year through CUET, which will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Courses through CUET

The NTA will conduct CUET PG through which candidates will be able to get admission into Post Graduate (pg) Diploma in English Journalism, PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism, PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations, PG Diploma in Radio and TV Journalism and PG Diploma in Digital Media at various branches of IIMC. The entrance test is likely to be held in July.

Different branches of IIMC also offer Journalism courses in regional languages and admission to those courses will be through separate entrance tests. The entrance test for PG Diploma courses in Odia, Marathi, Malayalam and Urdu Journalism will be conducted separately by the institute, and the application forms will be released soon on the official website of IIMC.

Following the CUET-PG exam, admission to various courses will be conducted through a counselling process details of which will be available in the IIMC prospectus soon.

Candidates having a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply for courses at IIMC. Students who have appeared or are appearing in their final year or last semester examination of their graduation are also eligible to apply.
