CAT 2021 Registration Deadline Extended to September 22

CAT 2021 registration process has been extended by a week. Candidates can now submit the CAT application form 2021 until September 22, 5:00 PM. The extension of CAT 2021 registration deadline was announced today by IIM Ahmedabad on the iimcat.ac.in website. Earlier, the last date to apply for CAT 2021 exam was September 15 (5:00 PM). The candidates must note that the CAT fee payment window will also close today at 5: 00 PM so they must not only submit the application but also make fee payment for successful CAT registration. Now candidates can select Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) as a preferred test city. 

CAT 2021 exam is scheduled for November 28. The exam will be conducted in three shifts: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. CAT 2021 admit card will be issued on October 27 along with the official mock test and exam day guide.

IIM Ahmedabad, the exam conducting institute for this year has retained the previous years' CAT exam pattern. The CAT 2021 question paper will have 76 questions in MCQ and non-MCQ formats. The exam duration of CAT 2021 will be 2 hours with sectional time limit of 40 minutes for each section. There is no change in the CAT syllabus, either. It consists of Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.

CAT 2021 Registration and Application Process

CAT 2021 registration and application form submission process is to be done in online mode only. The official website for CAT 2021 is iimcat.ac.in. Check below, the process to apply for CAT exam:

• Open CAT 2021 website in a new window and click on ‘Registration’
• Enter name, date of birth, email address, country and mobile number to register
• Validate CAT registration by entering OTP received in SMS
• Open the CAT application form and fill details in mandatory fields
• Upload passport size photo and scanned signature
• Select test cities, IIM campuses and IIM courses
• Make fee payment to complete the application process
