IIM Lucknow earns AACSB international accreditation

Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow has earned the prominent AACSB International Accreditation for global network of business schools. AACSB is the largest serving international accrediting community for business school established in the year 1916. It is the biggest education network linking educators, schools, and industries worldwide. It has more than 1,700 member institutions and 840 accredited business schools globally. The AACSB accreditation stimulates new ways of thinking within business education worldwide. As an effect, it has been earned by only 5 per cent of the world's schools offering business degrees at the bachelor’s level or higher.

According to Stephanie M Bryant, AACSB International executive vice president and chief accreditation officer, AACSB accreditation identifies institutions that have established a focus on excellence in all areas, including curricula development, teaching, research, and student learning.

AACSB accreditation offers an outline of 15 global parameters against which business schools across the globe evaluate the quality of their educational services. These parameters ensure the incessant enhancement and provide emphasis for schools to deliver on their mission, innovate, and drive impact. AACSB-accredited schools have effectively experienced a rigorous evaluation process done by their counterparts in the business education community, making sure that they have the commitment, resources, and credentials required to provide students with first-rate, future-focused business education.
